Kou Rou Bao

“Kou Rou Bao”, also known as a braised pork belly bun, is a popular savoury snack among the Chinese. The owner made a word play of the word “Bao” in the brand, which could also mean “baby” in mandarin. A cute baby steamed bun mascot was requested and this was the final design.

Inspired by the simple recipe of a piece of braised pork belly being

sandwiched by the lettuce and steamed bun, the color of the Chinese characters was deliberately chosen to match the food.
